A Novice who has reached Job Level 10 can become a Mage.
Before taking the test, make sure to allocate all your remaining skill points.
1. Travel to the magical city of Geffen and find the Mage Guild located in the northwestern part of the city.
Speak with the Mage Guildsman /navi geffen_in 164/124.
She will explain that you must demonstrate your magical skills by creating a special mixture for the Mage Exam. There are four types of mixtures in total. All information regarding the preparation of the mixtures can be found in the bookshelf nearby.
To check which specific mixture you are required to make, open your Quest Log by pressing ALT + U.

Catalyst: 1-Carat Diamond (no need to bring one; it is already integrated into the mixer).

3. After gathering all the required ingredients, go to the Mixing Machine located in the center of the Mage Guild /navi geffen_in 164/112 and prepare the mixture according to the exact instructions.
4. Once the mixture is completed, return to the Mage Guildsman /navi geffen_in 164/124. She will examine your mixture, and if you have done everything correctly, you will be accepted into the Mage Guild. You will also receive 50 Zeny as compensation for the solution purchase.
* If you make a mistake while preparing the mixture, you must repeat steps 2 and 3 again.
