Entering the Memorial Dungeon

Between the 6th and 7th floors of Thanatos Tower, you can meet Loomin /navi thana_step 154/367, who is researching unstable flows of magical energy. He is searching for adventurers willing to assist in the investigation of a mysterious area known as the Memory of Thanatos, a special realm connected to tragic events of the past.
Speak with him to gain access to this place and uncover its secrets.

 

 

Dungeon Walkthrough

The Memory of Thanatos is a memorial dungeon reflecting the inner suffering of the great swordsman Thanatos. Each floor embodies one of his emotions: Hatred, Anguish, Sorrow, and Despair. Upon entering the dungeon, you are drawn into memories of the tragic events of the past.

 

1. Along the way, you will encounter Lucile, a ghostly being dwelling deep within the tower. She is an echo of an ancient memory connected to the fall of Thanatos and the opening of the gateway to the Demon World. By fulfilling her request and cleansing the tower, you will help free Thanatos’s soul from eternal suffering.
To reach the summit, you must collect four shining magic gems of different colors hidden throughout the tower.

 

 

After speaking with the girl, enter the portal.

 

 

2. On the second floor, you will encounter the Baron of Observation, who refuses to let you proceed any further.

 

 

 

After defeating him and his allies, the portal to the next level will open.

 

 

3. Floors 3–6 are connected to emotions and appear in random order. Each symbolizes one of Thanatos’s inner states.

 

 

3.1 Floor 3 - Hatred

 

You will battle angels guarding the imprisoned Odium of Thanatos in the center of the hall.
After defeating the enemies, the entity will be released and appear in one of the four directions around the central cross. Once Hatred is defeated, the Suppressed Hatred appears in the center. Interact with it to obtain the Fragment of Hatred.

 

 

This area also contains four Shining Orbs. Activating them grants magic gems of different colors.
On this floor, you must collect four magic gems of different colors as well as the fragment of Hatred:

 

 

Magic Gem Green
Magic Gem Blue
Magic Gem Red
Magic Gem Yellow

 

 

3.2 Floor 4 - Anguish
This floor is engulfed in flames and chaos, symbolizing the suffering that tormented Thanatos’s soul. After defeating the angel at the center of the arena, Dolor of Thanatos appears, the embodiment of anguish and pain.

 

 

The battle is complicated by streams of fire crossing the arena diagonally, so remain cautious. Avoid the flames and defeat the embodiment of suffering.
Defeating Anguish rewards you with Fragment of Agony.

 

 

 

 

3.3 5 Floor 5 - Sorrow
This floor is filled with ice magic and raging snowstorms.
During the extermination of monsters, Sorrow of Thanatos appears near the northern statue.

 

 

During the battle, its Fragment of Memory slowly moves between the eastern and western statues. Whenever it reaches one of them, a Storm Gust spreads across the entire area.

 

 

Interact with the moving Fragment of Memory to return it to its starting point, causing it to begin moving again. After defeating Sorrow, you will obtain Fragment of Misery

 

 

 

 

 

3.4 Floor 6- Despair
This floor is infused with earth magic and symbolizes the fractured soul of Thanatos.
While battling monsters, the ground is periodically struck by devastating Earth attacks.

 

 

 

Stay alert and adapt to the constantly changing battlefield. Defeating the embodiment of Despair rewards you with Fragment of Despair.

 

 

 

 

 

4. Floor 7 is the final barrier, inhabited by distorted remnants of Thanatos’s consciousness. Five statues are positioned according to the cardinal directions.

 

 

Activating any statue except the northern one summons monsters in the center of the arena. Once all summoned enemies are defeated, the northern demonic statue becomes available. Interacting with it grants Magic Gem Black.

 

 

Up to five monsters may appear with a single activation, so it is recommended to activate the statues gradually to avoid overwhelming battles.

 

 

Once all required magic gems have been placed into the Barrier Stones located in the center of the area, the portal to the next floor will open.

 

5. The final floor - Sealed Memory.

Here begins the decisive battle against the Memory of Thanatos, the embodiment of his pain, rage, and shattered memories.

 

To summon the boss, place the four memory fragments into the central seal:

Fragment of Misery
Fragment of Agony
Fragment of Despair
Fragment of Hatred

 

 

After activation, five guardian stones appear around the arena - protective devices that strengthen the boss. Pay close attention to the system messages. Destroying the announced guardians in time is critical for victory.

 

 

Five guardian stones appear in the arena, each connected to one of Thanatos’s emotions:
Hatred - increases magical attack
Anguish - increases defense
Sorrow - restores HP periodically
Despair - summons additional monsters
Anger - increases physical attack
The guardian positions are random. Destroy the three guardians announced by the system to remove their corresponding buffs. After three guardians are destroyed, the remaining two disappear, but their effects remain active until the end of the battle.

If the boss’s HP drops below 50% within the first 3 minutes, he transforms into Broken Thanatos. In this phase, his attacks become significantly stronger, and his behavior far more aggressive and unpredictable.

If you leave the arena, the battle against the Memory of Thanatos will reset and restart from the beginning.

 

6. After defeating the boss, Lucile appears in the center of the arena. Speak with her to leave the dungeon and complete the challenge.

 

 

7. After successfully investigating the dungeon, Loomin /navi thana_step 154/367 will reward you with EXP.
