1. Approach the secret passage to the Ninja Guild to overhear Unknown Voice at /navi que_ng 28/156.
2. Talk to the Old Man at /navi job_ko 25/115. He will tell you an ancient legend. After the conversation, speak with him again and ask to become his disciple. He will reply that if you are destined to meet again, you will, and will send you to the entrance of the Ninja Guild.
3. When you are ready to begin the trials, return to the Old Man at /navi job_ko 25/115 and talk to him again.
He will explain that four trials await you: a test of knowledge, survival ability, weapon mastery, and battle.

6. After successfully completing the first trial, you will be returned to the Old Man at /navi job_ko 25/115. Talk to him and choose the next trial Survival Ability.
7. You will be transferred to a game field where you must complete a survival challenge.
During the trial, you spend Life Points (LP) and roll dice to move forward. At the start of the game, you have 100 LP.
You must make 40 turns. On each turn, LP may increase or decrease.
To pass the trial, you must have a positive amount of LP by the final turn. If your LP is exactly 0 on the last tile, you will still pass.
8. After successfully completing the trial, you will return to the Old Man’s room at /navi job_ko 25/115. Talk to him to begin the Weapon Mastery trial, and you will be moved to the next room.
9. Talk to Red Leopard Joe at /navi job_ko 127/125. He will ask whether you have prepared the required materials for the trial: Iron Ore, Iron, Steel, Phacon, Emveretarcon, Rough Oridecon, and Rough Elunium.
Following his instructions, create and enhance a weapon: 
Ninja Cutter or 
Huuma Job Test.
10. After finishing the weapon creation, you will be returned to the Old Man’s room at /navi job_ko 25/115.
You are now ready for the final trial Combat. Talk to the Old Man to be sent to the trial.
11. Inside the room, you will meet Guide Gion at /navi job_ko 148/46. He will order you to hunt down a monster named Skeleton in the Closet. Be careful and defeat the correct monster.
12. After defeating the correct monster, talk to Gion. He will congratulate you on completing the trials and grant you the new job, along with a gift
