Priest Job Change Quest

1. Go to the Prontera Church and meet with High Bishop at /navi prt_church 16/41.

 

2. High Bishop /navi prt_church 16/41 will tell you that you must go on a pilgrimage and visit Father Rubalkabara. After that, you need to speak with Mother Marthilda. Finally, seek out Father Yosuke.

If you begin this quest at Job Level 50, the pilgrimage will not be required. You can skip directly to step 6.

 

3. Meet Father Rubalkabara at /navi prt_fild03 365/255. You will find him in the ruins northeast of Prontera. He will wish you good luck and tell you to continue the pilgrimage.

 

4. Next, meet Mother Marthilda at /navi moc_fild07 41/355. She will instruct you that “the duty of priests is to spread God’s word to all people on Earth” and will bless you.

 

5. Lastly, visit Father Yosuke at /navi prt_fild00 208/218, located northwest of Prontera. Speak with him to complete the pilgrimage.

 

6. Return to Prontera Church. High Bishop /navi prt_church 16/41 will congratulate you for completing the trial and send you to Peter S. Alberto to undergo the spiritual trial.

 

 

7. You will be placed in a small room. Speak to the Pastor to begin the trial.

 

First Room: You must defeat all undead monsters.

 

Second Room: Move forward while demons appear, tempting you with valuable items. Refuse them all.

 

Final Room: Mummies will attack you. Do not fight, do not look back just run forward to the portal.

 

 

8. After completing all the trials, speak with Sister Cecilia at /navi prt_church 27/24. She is in the same room as High Bishop.

 

 

9. The last step is to swear an oath dedicating yourself to the service of God. Speak to Sister Cecilia and answer her questions:

 

Are you willing to give your life to God? - Yes
Will you take advantage of the holy abilities given by God for selfish, destructive or greedy ends? - No
Will you help aid others, even complete strangers, in battles by easing their suffering? - Yes
Are you willing to sacrifice yourself for the sake of others? - Yes
Will you repeatly say the same phrase in public in order to send God's message to his children? - No
Will you lure many monsters to help your party members level up? - No
Will you follow God, no matter what it takes, even if he demands you to kill yourself? - Yes
You have demonstrated your devotion to God. Will you swear to adhere to his teachings for the rest of your days? - I swear

 

10. Now that you have completed all three trials and taken the oath, return to High Bishop at /navi prt_church 16/41 to change your profession.

 

 

Be sure to dismount from your riding animal before speaking to him.

If you change to Priest, you will be rewarded with Book [3].

If you completed the quest at Job Level 50, you will receive Bible [2] instead.
